Big Wins!
When women business owners come together and make their voices heard, policy can change.
NAWBO California is proud to have joined the advocacy efforts surrounding SB 1032 and SB 1044 – two bills that have now stalled in the California Assembly.
These bills raised important concerns for California’s small business community, including new regulatory, compliance and contracting requirements. Through advocacy, education and engagement, NAWBO-CA continues to make sure the voices of women business owners are represented in Sacramento. This is exactly why advocacy matters.
NAWBO-CA Taps Governor-Appointed Former Lead of California’s Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA), Dr. Tara Lynn Gray as Statewide Director of Advocacy
Gray brings 30 years of high level, small business leadership gravitas, as the most recent Director of California’s Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA), an appointment made by Governor Gavin Newsom in March 2021. In her new role with NAWBO-CA, Gray will oversee the organization’s legislative, regulatory, and public policy efforts on behalf of the largest concentration of women-owned businesses in the United States.
